Mixolydian Family of Chords:

I chord =       G major            (G7 four note chord)
ii chord =      A minor             (Am7 four note chord)
iiio chord =    B diminished     (Bm7b5 four note chord)
IV chord =     C major            (Cmaj7 four note chord)
v chord =       D minor            (Dm7 four note chord)
vi chord =      E minor            (Em7 four note chord)
VII chord =    F major            (Fmaj7 four note chord)

Now record (or have a friend play) these common Mixolydian progressions 5 to 10 minutes each and live (or on another track) play the G Mixolydian scale using quarter then eighth notes.
 
G Mixolydian scale = G, A, B, C, D, E, F, G

1. I //// //// VII //// IV ////

2. VII //// I /////

3. IV //// v //// VII //// I ////

4. I //// v //// VII //// IV ////

Also create your own variations and record them for your own personal rhythm library. 
Record progressions with a metronome at multiple speeds:
70, 80, 90, 100, 110 - 220 BPM. (beats per minute)




Now transpose these to each position (register) of your instrument, then to all 15 keys.
