Mixolydian b6 Family of Chords:
I chord = G major (4 note chord = G dominant 7th)
iio chord = A diminished (4 note chord = A minor 7th flat 5th)
iiio chord = B diminished (4 note chord = B minor 7th flat 5th)
iv chord = C minor (4 note chord = C minor major 7th)
v chord = D minor (4 note chord = D minor 7th)
VI+ chord = Eb augmented (4 note chord = Eb major 7th sharp 5th)
VII chord = F major (4 note chord = F dominant 7th)
WS, WS, HS, WS, HS, WS, WS,
Notes are: G, A, B, C, D, Eb, F, G
Now record (or have a friend play) these common Mixolydian b6 progressions 5 to 10 minutes each and live (or on another track) play the Mixolydian b6 scale using quarter then eighth notes.
1. I //// iio //// iiio //// iv ////
2. I //// v //// iiio //// iv ////
3. VII //// iv //// I //// v ////
4. VI+ //// iiio //// VII //// iv //// iio //// v //// I ////
Now transpose these to each position (register) of your instrument, then to all 15 keys.
